Really? I tell ya, there's nothing blew me away about that film.

Does any movie not starring Barrymore blow you away?

The preview for Looper is up on IMDB. I have but one thing to say: Holy s***!

EDIT: Aw, hell's bells. It's the same thing as posted on the previous page. My bad.

What can I say? I'm not impressed by CGI. The two bits I always hear about are the floaty-floaty bit and the city folding in. Neither of which did anything for me. Not only that, but had they not been so talked about, I may not have even remembered them. The bit I remember most from Inception was the snow scenes, and only then because they annoyed me. After that, it's the scene with Leo and Marion talking towards the end of the film (because it's the only bit of acting in it) and the last shot. It's ok, but it's a film without highlights, for me.

Some of these films blew me away.

FYI, Looper's director has come out and said that you might not want to watch any more of the marketing. The implication being that it might give a fair bit away.

That bit does give away something that I thought might happen.

Ok I'm really really looking forward to this movie now. I have had an eye on it since April when the trailer arrived. JGL picks his roles so smartly, he rarely ever has a stinker. And I have complete respect for anyone who writes and then directs their own work, Rian Johnson. Two guys with integrity about their work.

It currently sits at 23 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and not a one of them rotten 100%...I haven't heard a bad thing from anyone since its debut at the TIFF 2012. That has gotten me completely amped for it.

Read one review where they said it's the best Sci-Fi in 20 years. Anyone else getting even more pumped for this after all the positive vibes? Only a couple more weeks!

People are saying this film was the best opening film TIFF has probably ever had. Great reviews so far and some saying it's the best sci/fi film since Terminator (dealing with time travel and what not I assume)

This movie is getting phenomenal reviews. The trailer it self looked really good. And what I am hearing is it is a mix of the first two Terminator films and 12 Monkeys and yet is still very unique. I was thinking that Lincoln may get Levitt his first academy award nomination for best supporting actor. But perhaps Looper could be that one? Science fiction movies don't usually get acting nominations. But Sigourney Weaver got her first nomination for Aliens and Brad Pitt got his first nomination for 12 Monkeys.
