The impossible question.....based in metal with influences from The Cure, 70s prog, italian folk music, romantic classical, ballets, and film scores?

DAYS shoot. I tried stepping away for hours haha....well I do have to read a book for class by sunday.

Also, that quote is almost a philosophy of my composing; a lot of what I write is from dreams or streams of consciousness and, while I do at times rewrite, generally the foundation stays the same as I layer the **** out of everything.

The answer is...step away for a couple days. I know it seems counterproductive after losing content, but it may be best to clear the mind and get re-focused. I JUST read... damn I can't think which musician it was, but I think it was PEte Townshend in EQ Magazine... he said that that moment of inspiration, that moment when you first come up with that musical idea, that contains the most potential for something great, and then we as humans tend to second guess and produce ourselves into a worse idea, over-tinkering the idea. I definitely do it. So, you may have tinkered yourself into a creative corner. Do something else for a couple days and then get back to it!

It doesn't help that the parts are complicated. Oh, just so you know, I'm not punching in

I guess I don't know what my question is??
