Thanks mate I'll try to keep everyone up to date in the thread on how it goes.

Yeah, I think part of my judgement is undoubtedly clouded by the large time between watching the two seasons, so with the most recent more fresh in my memory, that helps it. But aside from Malvo, I would say all my favourite characters come from season two, loved Mike Milligan and the Kitchen brothers, then Dodd and Hanzee, and then outside that everyone is cast perfectly. I actually loved the UFO things, one of those weird touches that I think would only work in such a show, the type of strange unexplained occurrence that I could imagine in a Coen Brothers film, the moment when it comes down in the shootout was amazing I thought.

Ah, nice. I've only got in to it recently, mainly because I noticed a few people on here were big fans. Although I avoided reading as much as I could about it just in case, so it's been delightful to watch it evolve from the relatively normal first season to what it is now, looking forward to the sixth. Yeah, I've heard it's probably the last, will be cool to see if they make a movie and how they would go about it.

I thought the second season was still excellent, it just didn't engage me personally as much as the first season. If I was weighing both seasons up on a set of scales, season 1 would be tilted more towards love while season 2 was slightly more admiration than love. But it was still fantastically written and acted. Although I'm still not sure what to make of the whole UFO thing

As I said though I was just more engaged and invested by the story and characters of season 1. For example if I was to choose my three favourite characters from the first two seasons they would probably all come from season 1 - Lester, Malvo and Molly. And the performances for those three were all incredible. As I said in that thread about the best thing you've seen this year Martin Freeman's 'confession' at the police station I thought was just astonishing; one of the best bits of acting I've seen in a long while.

And yeah I've loved Community since right back at the start really. Although I always had to just blind buy the seasons on DVD and watch them that way. Though it was only a month or two ago that I finally watched the 6th (and presumably) final season

Yeah I preferred season two, although I love both of them. Was really surprised just how much I enjoyed season two, took me ages to finally see it but when I did I loved it. Really thought the ensemble cast worked, liked the humour and I think the criminal setting appealed to me.

Cool to hear you like Community too, got through that really fast recently. Absolutely love it. Just finished season five. Will watch six in the next few days I guess.
